I have learned a great deal in this position and it has provided opportunities to meet much more the Snipe family and sailors worldwide. In making a balance of the recent past, I feel that we have done quite interesting things for the sustainable future of our Class in terms of caring about our values and spirit, keeping the one design spirit, adopting modern communication tools, promoting the class worldwide, aligning ourselves with ISAF in everything compatible with our values and giving more value for money to our members. I hope that you perceive the same, especially because I could not have put a drop more of energy and talent in that direction!

Dear all

It was an extremely rewarding experience and I feel privileged to have had the opportunity to serve the classas the Commodore of SCIRA during the past 2 years.

Concern the Future, we should be adding more countries and encouraging growth at the fleet level. We need strong leadership (with international vision) at the Board level and dedicated, hardworking National Secretaries who have a flare for Marketing.

I also challenge all Snipe sailors to commit themselves in the Class development, promoting our boat within exiting worldwide fleets and near friends of other classes, aiming to get more sailors converted to our “Serious sailing, Serious fun” Class

I truly believe we already have the expertise and if we all continue to work together, our class will grow in numbers and in the spirit of “Serious Sailing, Serious Fun”.

We should all be proud of our organization, as it really is one of the finest dinghy classes in the world today.

This was certainly one of the great experiences of my life that reinforced my great passion for the Snipe Class.

THANK YOU
