1) Your first time on a sailing boat?

When I was 8, we made a sailing boat from a 13 ft. rowboat.

2) Your first time on a Snipe?

1967

3) The most bizarre thing happened in a regatta?

A total wipe-out in Clearwater, during the circuit, in 40knts. Wind. Mast broke in 3 parts, destroyed sails and rudder.

4) What is the thing that more angers you in a race/regatta?

Sailors who do not take their penalty on the course when protested.

5) Which is the race/regatta that you remember with more pleasure?

This year World Master in Santiago de la Ribera.

 

6) And the race/regatta you would like to forget?

Already forgot it …

7) Your “dream in the peak”? (Your sailing dream?)

To participate in the World Masters in 2030, where ever it will be.

8) Sailing goals for 2013, and beyond?

If the question pertains to results, I don`t have any, so its a little hard to answer, but participating in most of the southern Europe regattas. Beyond? Can’t tell you, I take it all in stride, and see what happens …

9) The most important people for you in sailing and in the Snipe?

Torben Grael, Knut Frostad in sailing. All my crews, and Damian, in the Snipe.

10) Why the Snipe?

Because of all the wonderful people I have met, many who have become friends

11) Your perfect sailing venue and your perfect sailing conditions?

You want me to say Talamone, hehe. But there are so many places, each with its own charm …

12) Besides sailing which other sport do you practice?

Golf, tennis, skiing. And the bike for exercise.

13) Are you superstitious?

I don`t think so.

14) Your perfect holiday?

Without a wristwatch.
