1957 Italian Junior Nationals, “Bon II” in Riva del Garda sailing with the morning breeze (Peler)

“This was my first Italian Junior Nationals title in Riva del Garda. We raced in the afternoon with the “Ora” wind, while, very early in the morning, we should sail to Torbole, without any assistence of ribs or motorboats, because they weren’t available in those days. In the photo you can see “Bon II” with cotton sails made by the English sailmaker Ratsey & Lapthorne, the oldest sailmaker in the world.”
