This Snipe was build in 1964 by boatbuilder Mallentjer, in the region North of Antwerp, at the time a well known builder of Optimist, Vaurien, Cadet, Moth, Snipe.

Hugo Van de Vijver is the original and only owner of this boat.The wooden mast and boom was replaced by aluminium one.

Photos were taken at his sailing home-base Watersportcomplex Hazewinkel, in the province of Antwerp.

In 1993 Hugo replaced the original deck damaged by a tree that fell down during a storm. During the holidays Hugo and Annie sail in Oropesa del Mar, Spain (photo on the beach).
