Gerber #12021

1960 Gerber Wooden Snipe #12021 (Atlanta Georgia).

I saw it at the 2009 Classic Snipe Rally during the Halloween Snipe Regatta that year (see photos), it was so beautiful, a work of art and very modernized for racing too.

The original owner was probably Fred Pember of Atlanta YC.  He was one of the top sailors at AYC back then.

This boat has been in Atlanta YC fleet since new – 59 years!  It is Herb West boat but he is no longer sailing it.
