Heavy Jib Rule

Decision of the Rules Committee of February 22, 2013

The circular letter of october 2012 from the Chairman of the Rules Committee specified that the new heavier jibs were mandatory in the International events organised in 2013.

The Rules Committee was then asked to better specify the meaning of the word “International” and, if possible, to list the events in which the heavier jib shall be used.

As a result, the Rules Committee decided as follows:

The new jibs in production from jan 2013 shall be mandatory in the following International regattas:

• Senior World Championship
• Junior World Championship
• North American Championship (selecting for WH&O 2014)
• South American Championship (selecting for ODESUR 2014)
