Sailors awoke up in the dark for an 8:00 am start that was planned in hopes of morning wind in the Kvarner.  Despite the efforts of the RC and the weatherman, there was not a breath of wind all day.

For the second day, all the sailors are tied for first in the standings.

However, a good day was had by all.  The stunning resort town of Opatija provided sailors with charming Habsburg era strands, parks, and coffee houses that served up scrumpcious cakes, chocolates, gelato, espresso drinks, and decadant hot chocolate.  When racing for the day was finally cancelled, the sailors from all the classes were served pasta and wine aboard a tour boat in the harbor.

The Croatian Nationals are being held in conjunction with the annual Olympic Classes regatta, providing many young Croatians with an introduction to the Snipe Class.

Hope for some wind tomorrow!
