Thank You Antonio

by Gweneth Crook

I have said it before and say it again…the Snipe Class would not exist without the volunteers. I would like to say a special thank you to Antonio Bari our outgoing Rules Committee Chair. He has been a dedicated volunteer for numerous years and spent the last 8 as our Rules Committee Chair.

He and his Committee have worked hard to get the rule book approved, a process which is daunting. As a member of World Sailing our rules must be approved by them. It has taken several years and numerous rewrites to successfully conclude this process, although it never really stops as we continue to evolve as a Class.

Our Members should be aware of all the hard work that is put into the Class by volunteers, the numerous hours needed, to help the Class thrive. Thank you to Antonio for your efforts and dedication. You will now be able to concentrate on the “serious sailing, serious fun” part of our Class.

Thank you to all our volunteers! I know we look toward 2021 with optimism and hope that we will be able to meet again on the water.
