Worlds – Day 3

Worlds – Day 3 Image

Rio de Janeiro, September 25, 2013. Report by Don Bedford

Day three of the Worlds started with 20 knots of breeze with puffs to 30. The breeze was also quite shifty. The Racr Committee sent the sailors to a protected are as the wind velocity dropped a little. Unfortunately the puffs settled down to around 22 knots but the 60+ degree shifts from a cold front never did choose one direction to blow from. The Race Committee finally called it but needed to tow boats in as the wind was over 30 as approaching the harbor. Tomorrow we start at noon and try to get races 4-6 in.
