Eight teams competed. Pietro Fantoni and Lorenzo Baldi, had an easier time in the first race than in the second, where they were led for a long time by Fabio and Daniela Rochelli. Fabio and Daniela eventually were unable to contain the comeback of the Friulan-Tuscan team.

Good speed was also seen from Ciufo, Pesci and especially Gemini. The sailors were happy to see Luigi Berti with his “old crew” Krantz Fontana return to racing after a long absence.

After a magnificent christening with “Ferrari” excellent sparkling wine offered by the owners, the new DBR1 of Alberto and Anna Maria de Paoli was launched. They look forward to fine-tuning their new Snipe.

The next regatta at Snipe Bay is March 2-3.
