Snipe Bay gave two beautiful days of sailing: six races scheduled and six races completed.

On Saturday the Race Committee worked hard and well for setting the race course, with the wind that shifted initially from NE, then N and at the end from North East again. The first race was won by Pietro Fantoni with the junior Michele Meotto. For the second race Michele became skipper, but he had to surrender to the expert team of Mauro Maurizi and Marco Romani. The third race was won again by Fantoni-Meotto.

Tuscany is famous for the excellent food. For this reason the dinners are an important part of regattas in Talamone. So on Saturday evening many teams went to Magliano, a fortified medieval town 20 minutes from Talamone, where they could taste appetizers, pasta of all kinds, Florentine steaks, wild boar, roast suckling or crust pig, accompanied by local wine Morellino.

On Sunday, the day was initially rainy. However, three additional races were sailed with 5 to 12 knots from East and North East, and eventually the sun came out. In The first race 5 boats were OCS. Francesco Granchi and Valerio Gavazzi weren’t over the line and they won. ITA 15790 put her bow in front of the other Snipes in the second (Michele was the skipper) and the third race (with Pietro as skipper).

The next races in Snipe Bay will be on November 30-December 1.
