Last weekend the second regata zonale of the Italian District 11 was held on the waters of Punta Marina. Nine Snipes were on the starting line for five spectacular races, thanks to a sunny weekend of September and a good wind.

On Saturday we had light wind from east, veering to south-east, while on Sunday we had steep and choppy wave with wind at around 10 knots from the southeast. The strategy was always open.

At the end the winners, with three first places, were Filippo Perdisa – Max Massini on board ITA 30922, in front of Matteo Sangiorgi – Paolo Sangiorgi, who were very consistent and fast and Marco Pantano – Krantz, who were also very consistent. Giovanni Stella- Niccolò Todoli won ofthe fourth race of the series and Alberto Perdisa – Stefano Muccioli won the first race of the series. Unfortunately Perdisa Sr. and “Estrella” made mistakes in the other races. All the boats sailed close races to witness the good levcl of fleet Romagna. It was nice to see the young crew Perdisa jr – Massini at the top and Matteo Sangiorgi, a strong helmsman, former Optimist and 420 champion, who is now twenty-eight and an enthusiastic supporter of our class.
