Between the 23th and the 25th of May 2015, 18 Snipes competed for the French National amongst which French, British, Belgian and Portuguese boats. The long French week-end took place in a very convival and friendly atmosphere on the ground, but with fierce fights on the water.

Three races were ran on Saturday and 5 on Sunday with winds blowing from 5 to 20 knots. Rain started on the Sunday morning and the races were canceled.

Kudos to Jean-Jacques Frebault and Cyril Laprébendère who won the regatta followed by one point by Michel Villette and Zaïra Benbadis. The bronze medal went to the youngest snipist of the week-end, little Engida Den Hartigh who crewed his father Thierry.

Two other father and son crews, a female British crew, and Bernard Mariage, the eldest of the fleet composed a coulorful and lively group of boats and a beautiful regatta

Taking advantage of a windless Sunday morning, the French snipe Association gathered for their general assembly.

The warm welcome of the organizers decided all snipists to come back and sail on the Lac du Der next year at the same dates. You are welcome !
